In the weeks since its debut, the trailer for Marvel’s next movie installment, Avengers: Infinity War, has racked up 1.6 million views worldwide.

After the major success of their latest installment, Black Panther, Marvel is looking to make 2018 a year of great movies. Infinity War has built a lot of hype. In fact, Marvel even changed the release date to a week earlier just to please the fans.

“I saw the trailer right when it came out,” sophomore Diego Garcia said. “Technically it was supposed to come out the day before but it didn’t for some random reason. Regardless, I’m really hyped up for it, especially because they moved the release date to April 27. I think I’m going to go see the midnight release.”

Even those who aren’t the biggest of superhero movie or Marvel fans were intrigued by the trailer and all the hype on social media.

“I saw the trailer all over Twitter actually,” sophomore Jonathan Valladares said. “It caught me off guard because I didn’t know it came out. Once I saw the trailer for myself I understood what all the hype was about; it was really cool. I think I’ll watch it with my family or friends around the time it comes out.”

With the hype building rapidly on social media, some people heard about the trailer from their friends or others about the movie.

“I first saw the trailer right when my friend sent it to me,” sophomore Josie Ramirez said. “I’m a big Marvel fan. I watch the movies and even the shows on Netflix, like Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. The trailer was really cool. I can’t wait to see it with my friends.”
