Belles perform with colorful theme at annual Spring Show

Apr 29, 2015

Students and teachers gathered in the auditorium to see the Belles practice for the upcoming show on Friday, April 24. The Belles had been preparing for months to have a new and improved Spring Show. Having dress rehearsals in front of an audience helped the Belles know what it will be like at the official show. Junior Jordan DeLoach danced as a Belle since her freshman year and expressed how the show made her feel.

“My favorite part of the Spring Show was being able to perform for my family and friends because I had the opportunity to showcase my talents and what we’ve been working on in class,” DeLoach said.

The Belles have been working hard in school and after school to pull off an outstanding program. The dances were mainly choreographed by the Belle officers with some help from Ms. Potter, one of the dance directors. Junior Tamia Chandler also felt that the show was a huge success.

“I loved performing and the dress rehearsal inside of school really helped with the night-time show because it showed me what to expect, and it helped me get rid of all the nerves,” Chandler said.

The girls have ideas about what next year’s show could be like such as: Beyonce inspired dances and longer dances. The longer dances consisted of members of the team doing solos and duets. Having a longer show would also create an intermission so that dancers will be able to rest in between dances. The Spring Show was an interesting experience and the girls looked forward to doing even better next year by incorporating novel ideas.
