Malcolm Robins Profile
“Ever since l was a child l knew l was going to be a teacher,” English 1 teacher Malcolm Robins said.
Robins has been teaching for sisteen years. He wanted diversity when it came to the students and to the people he would be seeing on a day to day basic. Robins always wears special ring on his fingers called ankh. They are African symbols, and he wears them because he is culturally aware of who he is as a person. He believe this sets him apart from other people. He says that ankh is a part of his identity as a person.
“I call myself a renaissance black man because l love the arts and everything to do with it,” Robins said.
He loves to read, write and sing. He has a love of reading, he enjoys poetry. He also likes to roller state. His life goal is to go to Africa so he can learn more about the culture.
“It is a goal is a goal of mine to go to Africa – before l transition out of this world l am going to be there,” Robins said.
