“Peace. Love. Power. Basically it’s a motto of some sorts. My grandpa was a pastor and a very influential person. He would always say that when we parted ways. He passed away when I was in the seventh grade, but I think that’s what made me take my music more seriously. I always wanted him to see me be somebody. I think about him everyday. I’ve always loved music. I’ve always loved art in general. I was born with it. Honestly, I loved creating even when I was little. It’s so genuine and there’s so much feeling behind it. I can get really moody if I don’t create for a long time, it drains my brain. Listening to Kanye West was really it for me. I was about seven years old, it was late at night and there was this video called ‘Mercy’ and I was watching the music video and I loved the aesthetic of it. I was supposed to be asleep, but I didn’t go to sleep at all. I was watching it on my DS and my mom came into the room and I tried to act like I wasn’t watching anything. I wanna be as influential as Kanye West. I don’t know if it’s possible to get bigger— but that level. I suffer from ADHD and anxiety. I used to get kicked out of school a lot, have mental breakdowns, and stuff. It was very isolating. I used to beat myself up about it. When I create, it’s an afterthought of that. Since I don’t have the cognitive skills or the focus, I have Indigo. Indigo Teen Dreamz. It’s like my Pastelle, like Kanye has. I see it as an art project. I’m a very rebellious type of person, very go against the grain, no following the rules. Just create. And Teen Dreamz is a way of life, always staying youthful and making sure to make those dreams come true cause you wanna be content with life. I want people to be inspired— I wanna influence people to make sure the youth go on the right path. I tell people that they need to make sure they’re doing stuff for them, 110%. I’d try to shed a positive example. Go follow your dreams and know that somehow, someway whatever you’re doing is gonna make a difference, so be very careful with the way you treat people and show love. Peace, love, and power. Everybody is somebody.”
