Meet the Straw Hat Pirates

Monkey D. Luffy

Monkey D. Luffy is the main character of "One Piece." He is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. His goal is to find treasure and become the Pirate King. When Luffy was 7, he accidentally ate the Gum-Gum Fruit, turning his body into rubber. He's known for his care-free nature and bottomless stomach.
Zoro is notable for his spiky green hair. He wears a black bandana and green haramaki. (Graphic by Johanna Wen)

Roronoa Zoro

Roronoa Zoro is Luffy's right-hand man in the Straw Hat Pirates. He wields three swords and aspires to be the world's greatest swordsman. His dream originated from a promise to a childhood friend. He was a bounty hunter before Luffy convinced him to be the first member to join his crew. He's known for his love of napping and alcohol.
Nami has orange hair and tattoos, and her favorite fruit is the orange. She is played by Emily Rudd. (Graphic by Johanna Wen)

Nami

Nami is the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates. She is the second to join Luffy's crew. She dreams to draw a map of the entire world. She's known for her love of Beri, "One Piece's" currency. Nami's nickname is "Cat Burglar."

Usopp

Usopp is the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates and the third to join Luffy's crew. He was born in Syrup Village and is best friends with Kaya, the richest girl on the island. His father is a pirate and also a sniper. Usopp dreams of becoming a brave warrior of the sea. He is known for his cowardly and dishonest nature.
Sanji has yellow hair and swirly eyebrows. He likes to dress formally and is played by Taz Skylar. (Graphic by Johanna Wen)

Sanji

Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates and the fourth member to join Luffy. He only fights with his legs, protecting the one thing he needs in order to cook: his hands. Sanji, Zoro and Luffy are known as the "Monster Trio" due to their proficiency in fighting. His dream is to find the rumored All Blue, which is where all of the oceans and their wildlife meet. Sanji is known for his love of women and smoking.
