[PHOTO ESSAY] ‘Marian, the true tale of Robin Hood’ play

Marian, who was secretly Robin Hood, passes on her identity as Robin Hood to Alanna before she dies of an arrow that pierced her abdomen. Marian charges Alanna with continuing the legacy of Robin Hood after she is gone. “This scene meant a lot to me because, as a senior, it felt like I was passing the torch to my scene partner, played by one of my close junior friends,” Marian’s actress Rachel Carillo said.

In a 28-scene play performed in the Black Box Theatre, Red Bird Productions performed its rendition of the fairy tale classic “Robin Hood,” where Robin Hood is a woman, hiding her identity. The showings lasted from Dec. 12-14.
