One Direction remains number one

Dec 2, 2014

The world’s most outstanding boy band, One Direction a British-Irish band, dropped another chart topping album, FOUR, selling more than four hundred thousand copies in less than a week. The album went straight to number one on the Billboard 200 album chart bumping down Taylor Swift’s newest album, 1989, which was at the top for three weeks.

One Direction was the first boy band ever in chart history to have four number one albums in comparison other boy bands like New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC and the Jonas Brothers who have all had only two number one albums.

Additionally, they were number one in the United Kingdom and 146 other countries out of the 196 countries on this planet.

The band just wrapped up the tour for their previous album at the end of the summer and will begin their new tour in February 2015 in Sydney, Australia and continuing ins several countries they have never been to which include Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and many more.

In a recent interview band member Liam Payne stated “We are already planning our fifth album!”
