        Art Essays

The 1998 German action movie “Run Lola Run” follows three alternative timelines from one event in which the main character, Lola, finds out that her boyfriend, Manni, needs 100,000 marks (approximately $55,826 today) for his mob boss in 20 minutes due to him losing a bag of the money on a subway. She runs to get the money, and each timeline shows how important little details are and the changes they make. Combined with blues and greens along with the red of Lola’s hair, the movie’s color composition adds to the strong emotions throughout the story.

Red Bird Productions officers senior Joshua Percy, junior Emma Kolah, freshman Kalyani Gifford, junior Reece Langland, junior Rachel Carrillo and senior Jermaine Hayden do a purposefully bad performance of "Toxic" by Britney Spears. This act was a continuation of the tradition of a "Go Team Circus" run by members of RBP.

Every year the choir students hold a fundraiser. For $10 one can send around five or more choir students to a loved one of choice. While this interrupts class time, its always a beloved tradition to listen to cute pop-songs.
        [ART ESSAY] Valentine’s Day
Before I joined AP World History teacher Wayne Houle’s class, I felt like I was destined to fail. I’ve never been too good at remembering dates or events, but his fun and engaging class is what sparked a love for history for me. Mr. Houle is almost always in his classroom talking with new and past students, listening to their music, playing his guitar and helping answer questions. Even when he could go home for the weekend, he still made time for my friends and my Dungeon World campaign afterschool on Fridays. He’s truly one of the best teachers I have ever known.
