Before I joined AP World History teacher Wayne Houle’s class, I felt like I was destined to fail. I’ve never been too good at remembering dates or events, but his fun and engaging class is what sparked a love for history for me. Mr. Houle is almost always in his classroom talking with new and past students, listening to their music, playing his guitar and helping answer questions. Even when he could go home for the weekend, he still made time for my friends and my Dungeon World campaign afterschool on Fridays. He’s truly one of the best teachers I have ever known.

After a long tiring day of school, I change into comfy clothes and dive into my bed. I find peace through music, self-care routines, and long naps. I try to clear my mind before I get started on my schoolwork.
