The Breakfast Klub is known throughout Houston and the state of Texas for its’ delicious southern-style food. The family-owned restaurant began after owner Marcus Davis discovered his passion to create good eats in the Houston area. The diner opened in September 2001 and were soon known for their staple meals of chicken and waffles and catfish and grits. Since then, the Breakfast Klub has received national recognition and praise. Despite this integral eatery being around for over a decade, it continues to impact customers with its’ breakfast foods as Houstonians and others of all ages and backgrounds come to enjoy the food of this establishment.
One of our school’s own experienced the eatery first hand and had nothing but rave reviews. Junior Shanna Nguyen commended the restaurant on the laid-back atmosphere upon being seated after she experienced the breakfast food at the Midtown location.
“It’s comfortable and casual,” Nguyen said. “I think it’d be a nice hangout spot or a great place to grab lunch with friends.”
However, there was one thing Nguyen would like the restaurant to improve on that diminished her experience by only a smidge.
“There was about a 10 minute wait to order your food,” Nguyen said. “I just wished that could be improved on but it was worth it for the tasty meal.”
There is only one location for this iconic Houston eatery and its hours of operation vary for weekdays and weekends. Monday through Friday they are open from 7 am until 2 pm while Saturday and Sunday, they are open from 8 am to 2 pm. Make sure to check out this great Houston restaurant sometime soon!
