Summer is the perfect time opportunity to try new restaurants. One place to check out for a perfect brunch is the Kitchen at the Dunlavy.

Located at 3422 Allen Parkway, open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Kitchen at the Dunlavy offers great breakfast/lunch food along with a fun ambiance.

Upon arrival there was a 10-20 minute wait, but it was definitely worth it.  From avocado toast, to sandwiches, to smoothies there is a large variety of food to choose from. The food arrived fairly quickly and everything I ate was very good. Out of all of the foods I tried the salmon gravlax toast was my favorite.

Not only is the food very tasty, but the ambiance of the venue gives one a magical feel. The room has a plethora of vintage chandeliers hanging over your heads as you dine. There are also floor to ceiling glass walls that surround the room which overlooks the bayou. It is definitely an “Instagram worthy” place.

After a satisfying meal, one can go for a walk around the bayou to finish off the perfect outing. The Kitchen at the Dunlavy is at the top of my favorite brunch spots and I will definitely be back soon.
