“Winter Park is the family favorite place to go. My wife loves to ski. I ski a little bit, and my kids are very athletic and just crazy – they don’t worry about risk at all.
We took our boys skiing when they were six and four. We [were] looking for something fun to do with the kids, so we took them up to Jackson Hole. We knew [that our oldest] was going to love it, because he’s just crazy out there all the time. We didn’t think [that our middle one] was going to like the cold that much, but my kids really took to [skiing] fast. They really enjoyed it. It’s a fun time as a family to get out there. You leave everything behind and just hang out together.
We try [to] go [skiing] about every other year. I screwed up my ankle last spring, so this year I’m not going to go skiing, but my wife’s taking each one of the kids skiing individually.
I think the big thing is [that skiing is] a time where we all go do something that is not [what] we’re normally doing. It’s fun chaos, time together and everyone has a good time.”
