About the Contributors
Ishani Kaushik, Managing Editor
Ishani Kaushik is the Managing Editor and second-year staffer for the Three Penny Press. She is also the editor of the Texas State Junior Classical League newspaper, the Torch, and is on the state executive board. Outside of dabbling in various journalism excursions, Ishani enjoys being a part of Bellaire as the president of Bollywood Club, president of JCL, co-president of STEMsters and a member of the Bellaire Debate team. In her free time, she loves making pasta, reading outdated Roman literature or rewatching her favorite Bollywood movie.
Peyton Promubol, Podcast Editor
Senior Peyton Promubol is a third year staffer and Podcast Editor. She is a member of Bellaire Belles, Vice President of FCA, and a member of National Honor Society. She joined TPP to share the diverse amount of voices at Bellaire and grow as a writer. Outside of school, she likes to spend time with family and friends, listen to music, and read books.
Emilyn Sun, Social Media Editor
Emilyn Sun is a sophomore and first year staffer for the Three Penny Press. She is excited to voice opinions and shine light on the unseen! Outside of TPP, she is a Bellaire debater and a member of the Study of Life club. In her free time, you can find her crocheting, debating with her older brother, rewatching Chiikawa or (yet again) trying and failing to pick up a new hobby.
Chloe Nguyen, Reporter
Chloe Nguyen is a sophomore and first-year reporter at TPP. She believes everyone carries a story to tell, and she’s thrilled to bring those stories to life. Outside of TPP, she is a soprano 1 in Bellaire’s choir, a member of the debate team, and secretary of the Physics Club. If she’s not in school, she’s probably either reading (her favorite genres are fantasy and mystery), working out, or playing with her little brother, Lucas.
Angelina Tao, Reporter
Angelina is a sophomore and first-year staffer. She hopes to voice the student body of Bellaire High School through a broad range of journalism fields, from opinion writing to photography. Outside of TPP, Angelina is the historian of the Chinese Club and the Public Relations Chair of the Study of Life Club. In her spare time, she enjoys writing and exploring the outdoors by biking or taking her three dogs out for fun adventures.
