Junior and Sports Editor Yuna Ji joined TPP to explore her interest in writing, photography, designing, videography and more. She loves connecting with new people and sharing their unique stories. At Bellaire, she serves as an officer in National Beta Club, National Key Club, AI Club, Social Impact Club, and choreographs for the eMotion dance team. Outside of school, she loves attending sports games and concerts, going to the beach, hanging out with friends, going to the gym and making memories.
Junior Leila Shahrestani is a Broadcast Anchor and a Video Editor. She joined TPP to share people’s stories through writing and videos. Outside of TPP, she is an officer for eMotion and Key Club; in her free time she loves to workout, dance and listen to music.
Junior Tessa Spencer is a Broadcast Editor and Video Editor. She joined TPP to meet new people, strengthen her writing and explore the many different ways to share people’s stories. She serves as an officer for both the Bellaire Women’s Lacrosse team and AI Club, while also active in many other clubs. In her free time, she loves going out with friends, trying new things, and spending time with her dog.
Senior Emay Kong is starting her second and final year on Three Penny Press as the news anchor. She enjoys making broadcasts with Sarah Nitsun on information about Bellaire and takes joy in editing and being on camera. Emay also enjoys spending time with her friends and playing the piano.
Emily Brams is a senior and second-year staffer who’s thrilled to step into the role of photo editor this year. She’s passionate about photography and excited to continue capturing moments that matter. At school, Emily is active in Varsity Theater and is an officer in the Eco-Zoology Club. Outside the classroom, you’ll likely find her looking at books that she will never buy at Barnes & Noble, binge-watching her favorite shows, or enjoying a nap.
Sarah Nitsun, senior and second-year staffer is elated to lead the broadcast program this year as broadcast anchor. Sarah is grateful for the opportunity to combine her passions for connecting with the Bellaire community with video production. Outside of TPP Sarah holds leadership roles in other organizations such as Belles, SEAARK, JSU, and Today’s Topics to further connect with her community. Outside of school you can find Sarah on a walk, in a pool, or trying local cafes with her friends.
