Alumni and Friends of Bellaire High School will sponsor the first Annual Scramble Fore Scholarships Golf Tournament On Monday, April 21st . Funds raised from the tournament will go to the Bellaire High School and Alumni Scholarship Fund which allots $10,000 in scholarships each year. Alumni and friends award deserving seniors up to five scholarships for $2,000 each. The scholarships are broken down into the following categories: two need-based scholarships, two merit-based scholarships, and the Sherry Senior Scholarship for potential Math majors. The Alumni and friends organization began 1993 and is open to all graduates.

The Scramble Fore Tournament will feature Channel 2 Sports Director Randy Mcllvoy, a 1985 graduate, and former golf and football coach Stan Roper. Coach Roper coached at Bellaire from 1985 to 200 and Mcllvoy played on the baseball team under legendary coach Ray Knoblauch.
