Couch wrote the music herself. “I wanted to write the song because I felt like playing the guitar, and messed around with the notes until it sounded nice to me,” Couch said. “When I composed it, it took me maybe about an hour. I’ve written a lot of music, so I’m strong with composing songs.” (Alav Madani)Sophomore Yousany Keyklyn Grenot sings into the microphone while on stage. His act was a mashup between the songs “The Two of Us” by Bill Withers, Ralph MacDonald and William Salter and “Shallow” by Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt. Grenot started by sitting and playing the guitar, then stood up and interacted with the crowd by asking them to sing along with him on stage. Their band is called Tiger and the Lillies, which also includes sophomores and guitar players Jimmy Puac-Mendez and Elias German. “My Chemical Romance is the favorite band of our lead singer Violet Bradley, and they’ve been a really big inspiration to her character and her personal style,” drummer and founder of the band Eltzschig said. “It’s a song I also really liked in middle school, and it’s a nostalgic one for all of us.” (Alav Madani)

Junior Zara Bukhari is a second-year staffer and a News Editor for TPP! She is passionate about giving others a platform to share their voices, and helping spread important information to the community. She’s the President of Culinary Club and Maple Street Journal. Outside of school, she’s usually watching rom-com shows, baking, or getting her daily steps in.
Alav Madani is a sophomore and first-year reporter for TPP. She joined to meet new people along with their talents and dive deeper into the world of journalism and writing. In addition to debate and piano, she enjoys spending her free time hanging out with friends, keeping up with Real Madrid, and playing soccer.
Angelina is a sophomore and first-year staffer. She hopes to voice the student body of Bellaire High School through a broad range of journalism fields, from opinion writing to photography. Outside of TPP, Angelina is the historian of the Chinese Club and the Public Relations Chair of the Study of Life Club. In her spare time, she enjoys writing and exploring the outdoors by biking or taking her three dogs out for fun adventures.
