Decca Spreads Christmas Spirit

With Christmas nearing, everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit and showing Christmas cheer. There is no better way to spread cheer than how senior, Michelle Le does. Trough helping special needs people to socialize and have a good time can brighten someone’s day and holiday season.

“Decca gives the students a chance to socialize and relax. This thanksgiving themed lunch allows the group to feel more like a family” Michellele said. “Since they have trouble socializing and integrating into the school, they really enjoy being able to meet people through a club. Our goal is to take the pressure off of the students and make them feel the least amount of pressure when it comes to meeting people.”

The opportunity that the students get through the club is truly priceless. Due to the fact that the club minimizes social pressures, it is really easy for the student to be themselves and make friends. Through sharing food and playing games, people can have a laugh and become a close knitted family.

It can be said that close friendships are made every time the Decca club meets. Through eating together and playing games the students can relax and forget about all the societal pressures that they face.
