Senior Marina Martinez is a third-year staffer who is an artist and page designer for the Three Penny Press. She loves to write reviews, especially movie reviews, where she can analyze every little detail in a film. Marina’s current favorite movies are Godzilla Minus One, Isle of Dogs and The Iron Giant. She joined TPP not only to write for the entertainment section, but to become part of a community and create wonderful stories + pages with others. Marina is also part of the varsity tech team for Red Bird Productions and Media Manager for the Riot Grrl club.

Before I joined AP World History teacher Wayne Houle’s class, I felt like I was destined to fail. I’ve never been too good at remembering dates or events, but his fun and engaging class is what sparked a love for history for me. Mr. Houle is almost always in his classroom talking with new and past students, listening to their music, playing his guitar and helping answer questions. Even when he could go home for the weekend, he still made time for my friends and my Dungeon World campaign afterschool on Fridays. He’s truly one of the best teachers I have ever known.
