Students line up outside of the school after being told to evacuate. The cause of the evacuation was initially thought to be a chemical spill, but turned out to be a leak in the HVAC.

Bellaire is ranked 120th in Texas high schools, according to the U.S. News & World Report. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our students, teachers, staff and families in achieving excellence in reading and English language arts, math, science, social studies, student progress, closing the gaps and postsecondary readiness,” the school said in an Instagram post on Aug. 16.
TEA awards Bellaire an A rating for 2025-26 school year
The UT Subiendo Academy is a leadership program designed to prepare young leaders in addressing the needs of the next generation by problem-solving issues in healthcare, energy and/or environment, and education, according to the Subiendo Academy website. More than 750 applicants applied to the program in 2024.

Birdies at Bellaire
Running back and senior Rydell Nathan runs with the ball from the 30-yard line. On Oct. 18, the varsity football team took home a win against Chavez High School for the homecoming game, winning 42-7.
Taking home the win
Princeton Assistant Director of Admission Elysia Garza introduces herself and Princeton University’s mission at the university’s visit in the auditorium on Oct. 14. “Princeton's motto is ‘in the nation service and in the service of humanity,’” Garza said. “Students are really excited about getting education, but also using that education to give back to the world around them.”

Senior Aiden Gross plays an injured soldier needing support to stay upright. Gross’ character was just hit in a bombing leading to several soldiers, including him, needing emergency treatment.
An homage from the heart
The Birdkeepers and Boosters stand inside the inflatable cardinal in preparation to welcome back the varsity football team after halftime. The theme of the game was U.S.A. and more than 100 students attended.
